Coastal cottages Dumfries and Galloway

Braeview and Craig cottages are wonderfully situated in a stunning coastal location 2 miles west of the village of Borgue. Kirkcudbright and Gatehouse of Fleet, both approximately 7 miles away have a good range of shops, galleries, pubs, restaurants, banks and garages.

The market town of Castle Douglas is approximately 16 miles away. As well as being the regions "Food Town", King Street is renowned for its excellent shops and boutiques.

The beaches below Craig and at Knockbrex (a little further along the coast) are both within easy walking distance of the cottages and are suitable for swimming.

The South West of Scotland is well known for its mild climate, attractive un spoilt countryside and abundance and diversity of recreational and sporting pursuits. There is excellent hill walking in the nearby Galloway Hills and cycling along some of the numerous designated cycle routes. Furthermore, there is the nationally renowned 7 Stanes mountain biking in the Galloway Hills and Forest parks. In addition there are various outdoor sporting opportunities such as trout and salmon fishing in the regions numerous rivers and lochs as well as sea fishing. There are water sports and sailing on nearby Loch Ken as well as on the Solway with a marina at Kirkcudbright. For golf enthusiasts there are several golf courses within a short driving distance.
